My grandma called chocolate cream drops what they call Brazil nuts in the article. All of the family did (from Missouri). As a kid I was freaked out that anyone would name anything you ate after toes if any kind. Just gross.
But racists gotta be racist every chance they get.
Renting forever. Yeah, I'd like to own a house, sure. But on the other hand, I don't have to remove snow from my place, I don't have to pay a repair guy to fix stuff when it's broken, don't have to mow the lawn, or maintain the swimming pool. If I have problems with my neighbors, I can complain to management and they'll handle things discreetly without singling me out or involving me.
I suppose it depends on where you live, and what you're paying, but while it's not entirely ideal, it's also not awful.

I hate seeing these cars on the road as I drive to work with a normal car that does all of this stuff as a basic feature but doesn't have a cult of personality CEO promising bullshit attached to it.
A modern sedan has all of this in play. But the companies that offer these features are very careful to explain that what they offer isn't a robot that drives for you.
But magical mystery tour Mars commune snake oil diamond mine scion promises a robot car!
I just don't get it.
There are tons of cars our there that are better positioned to deliver a assisted driving experience that is better than these Teslas.
I love my Honda even though it has connectivity issues. But damn if it won't see myself in a situation where just driving my car winds up whare I smash me into a tree and burn me up.
I understand as a driver that at some point all of this bullshit won't help me.
Lane assist combined with adaptive cruise control pretty much means my Accord is driving itself to me, as its driver. I've only had problems with the lane assist when the sun is shining really bright on the road when it's low in the sky (sunset and sunrise). I think it doesn't "see" as well at those times of day.
Yes, I have to keep my hands on the wheel and pay attention - but every driver should anyway. There are so many crazy variables out there.
For sure. But the thing is that Honda doesn't say their assistive features add up to self driving, yet Tesla barely has better than that yet claims that they do.

My boiled egg slicer. It seemed really frivolous when I bought it, and I probably only use it five or six times a year at best but man if it doesn't cut down prep time for any salad with boiled egg in it, it also works with avocados!
Personally I think he's too young to be tried as an adult and it's obvious that his negligent parents both ignored his cries for help AND encouraged him to use weapons that the law prohibits minors from owning.
But on the other hand, they weren't the ones that shot up the school, and he does pose a threat to society. If anything this case illustrates how messed up and convoluted the juvenile justice system is.
After arriving at the Murry family home, police instructed everyone inside to come out with their hands up. Nakala Murry says that’s when Aderrien emerged from around a corner, running toward the door. Capers then opened fire.
I dunno. I feel like if you're asking your 11 year old kid to call the cops for you and shit gets fucked up, is it a you problem not a police problem if they're responding to a situation where they apply an appropriate level of response not knowing who is who in that hot moment.
It's horrible that the kid was in the middle of it - - but where was the parent?
This seems to me that police need better domestic dispute training, but tragic as it is ,things move so quickly in a situation like that.
Too bad the boyfriend doesn't have unlimited funds but really I don't think the police department is at fault.
