Huckabee: 2024 will be last election ‘decided by ballots rather than bullets’ if Trump loses over legal cases (thehill.com)

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee ® on Wednesday said 2024 will be the last election “decided by ballots rather than bullets” if former President Trump doesn’t win the presidential race because of his various legal battles....

Users are getting dumber by the day!! Half the comments in privacy imply users don't know what they are talking about and need to see a therapist

tim-clark,

No, based on the silliness i see in privacy. The /s is useful and to deny its usefulness is ignoring the reality of human 2d communication.

tim-clark,

Totally agree it is a pain to use it. Just helps with clarity for everyone

My opinions on Russians are based off the ones that immigrated to the US in the late 90's. After doing business with a few, I will never sell or buy anything from a Russian. They lie, steal, deceive, threaten, and overall rip you off any way they can.

Granted there are plenty of Americans I feel that same way about. Just have never met a Russian with any sense of ethics. Doesn't matter male or female everyone has been a disgusting human with how they treat others.

Finally a coherent comment on privacy!!!

I use a macbook for work. Chrome is ridiculously buggy and sucking every bit of memory. Firefox is almost as bad. Chrome is really bad when using more than 1 tab. Firefox has rendering issues with jira and git. Chrome compelling locks up when using meet, Firefox is slightly better.

In my opinion all browsers have sucked since 2015. Slow, unresponsive, rendering issues, resource hogs. Overall the browser experience has led me to use the internet less and less. It is not the privacy, it is the basic functionality is not working consistently.

The real death panels is the health insurance industry. Disgusting the number of people that die each year from 100% curable illnesses purely in the name of profit. Saw a statistic from the CDC that it is in the 70-80k range a year

So ads for their mail list and more data to be sold later. Size doesn't matter when it comes to ads and nefarious content.

It's just a little pop up...

So you want more spam ads in your email that is already overloaded with spam. No thanks, no social media site needs to send me email.

I love oregon, no sales tax so the listed price is the price. Now all these idiots moved here and are making changes as to why this place was nice. Like trying to implement a sales tax and getting rid of the urban growth boundary

Anything over a class 2 should be licensed and require insurance. In the US if you are traveling faster than 12mph you are required to follow traffic laws. Some states even require vehicle insurance if there is an incident above 12mph.

tim-clark,

Yes. Almost 50 in US. Owned over 100 manual vehicles.

Had to be able to start on a hill to get my license.

That case is also an example of this working. The case in front of the Supreme Court had no standing since is was fake plaintiffs.

Libertarians have always been right leaning people in sheep's clothing. Entitled people who think laws don't apply to them and apply to everyone else. Have heard this sentiment for decades directly from Libertarians. The entire concept is shallow thinking, disregarding science and human nature. What Libertarians are missing is empathy and the social contract of humanity.

Libertarian = self serving narcissist that lacks empathy.

tim-clark,

I agree with that. In the last 2 decades libertarian has turned into republicunt with out the name.

The only people that I have met in the last 2 decades that claim to be libertarians are white men in the tech industry. Half of them since 2016 turned full Maga

Dictionary and functional meaning are very different. Once you start drilling into their ideology it is just replicunts without wanting to take the name.

In case you're mad at yourself for closing your precious window with all the right tabs opened, note that Firefox allows to reopen recently closed windows (jlai.lu)

I generally have a “home” Firefox window with my most used tabs pinned. Sometimes I close it before another window, so I was frustrated to “lose” it and having to redo my pins. But recently I discovered this feature. Joy!

tim-clark,

Currently have 5 windows open with 10-30 tabs each. Use them all everyday. Easier to keep tabs open then dig through bookmarks.

That is the purpose of having tabs and multiple windows. They can sit unused until needed.

Sad thing is so do most democrats/liberals

We should have something like federated communities

Communities on different instances about the same topic should have the option to essentially federate so a post on one appears on all of them and opening any of them shows you the comments from all of them. This way when lemmy.world is down its not a big deal because posting to any news community federates to all of the...

tim-clark,
tim-clark avatar

Yeah, a single site with all the communities. Like reddit....
