The Japanese Anime that launched the worldwide craze for GO had a Chinese live action adaptation.
Hikaru was renamed Shi Guang and it was moved to Hong Kong right after it re-established Chinese rule. Sai was considered a time traveling soul (because Ghosts weren't favored in Chinese shows at the time). But the timeless story of two rivals turned friends still pulls at the heartstrings.
