Anime, Manga, and Light Novel Blog Posts That Caught My Eye This Week (May 17, 2024)
Last week was... a week. Last Sunday and Monday were pretty normal. My husband and I returned to the other side of the state and helped my Dad get more cleaned out of his house. But everything changed late last Tuesday morning, when my husband got a call from my brother-in-law, saying my father-in-law had an incident earlier that morning and was in the emergency room.
I'm very sure that the actual Japanese language names aren't the one used here, but the translation team were obviously having far too much fun with the horse names in this sequence. #anime #ASaladBowlOfEccentrics
#anime
@Gaewin L'approfondissement tu l'as dans les mangas
@Xalofar

Jellyfish was so great last weekend… doing an episode centered in Kano and her relationship with her mother but based only on her emotional reactions to Miiko and her daughter was a great narrative choice #anime#jellyfishcantswiminthenight
“I know, Sayaka... it sucks to be alone. Believe me, I know. But it's ok, now. 'Cause I’m here with you, Sayaka."
I think I vastly underrated the subplot of Kyoko Sakura and Sayaka Miki when I first watched Madoka Magica.
From the clashes of Sayaka's sense of justice and Kyoko's faith, to the way they inspired each other while not realizing it, to the way they almost save each other, and to the way they actually do... there was some really cool storytelling going on!
