Is it common for the #AppStore review to complain about app extensions spawning processes? My app contains an intents app extension, and as soon as you look at one of its Shortcuts actions in the Shortcuts editor, naturally its appex is launched by macOS. Weirdly, that was the first issue they had with the app. I'm confused.
@czottmann The only purpose of an appex is that you can have a process running WITHOUT having to pull up the whole app. At least this was my understanding.
@csigritz I've already thought about building an app review introductory kit based on actual developer review experiences - you'd select your app's features from a list, and it would spit out a starter text explaining what the app does under the hood in a way that's likely to help the review process, because the explanations are taken/abstracted from actual correspondences between developers and the review team.
It'd double as a checklist so you don't forget stuff like explaining an appex :P
