Ever since #WatchOS v10, my heart rate tracking has been mostly broken when I use the fitness app to track a bike ride.
Start the ride, heart rate jumps to double. Stop, it goes back. Start riding again and after 10 minutes, heart rate jumps by 50%, then the heart rate monitor crashes/resets and after 2 minutes, it comes back to normal.
This cycle usually repeats itself 1 more time. #biketooter
Watch is series 7. I’ve been tracking bikes with Apple Watch since Series 1. Band doesn’t matter, but restarting the watch works 1 time out of 3. I’ve even reset to factory.
@donburnside Here my theory: when you upgraded the watch, somehow there’s a problem with the upgrades done on the nanobots that have been injected into your system by Apple.
Put the watch on the other arm and new nano bits with the correct firmware are inserted.
With lunch they’ll setup a SFTP server and firmware update the old ones.
Good luck. It would suck to have to factory reset you.
