New species of animal in Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge! (not).
(actually, apparently two firearms retrieved from the mudflats...)

"On February 18, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Fremont PD officers were dispatched to Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge after a community member reported seeing two firearms in the mudflats at low tide. They were inaccessible for retrieval. Fearing the firearms may have been discarded after a crime of violence occurred, members of the Fremont PD Crime Scene Investigation Unit contacted Menlo Park Fire Department for the use of their airboat." #crime#menlopark#CA#fremont
