"On February 18, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Fremont PD officers were dispatched to Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge after a community member reported seeing two firearms in the mudflats at low tide. They were inaccessible for retrieval. Fearing the firearms may have been discarded after a crime of violence occurred, members of the Fremont PD Crime Scene Investigation Unit contacted Menlo Park Fire Department for the use of their airboat." #crime#menlopark#CA#fremont
Just planted an #herb bed in the #garden. I poured Italian parsley seeds into my hand, realized the packet held far more than I needed, and set the packet down, so I could give the rest to our neighbor, along with the entire sealed packet of cilantro* seeds that came in the set. As I lightly raked dirt over the seeds, a huge gust of wind came up and tossed the parsley packet up in the air where it briefly spun like a pinwheel then dropped to the dirt, empty.
Someday, someone's going to ask why I planted so damned much #parsley.

Something that perplexes me: In the movie 10 Things I Hate About You, they go to the Fremont Troll and it's covered in ivy.
I have lived in the Seattle area my whole life, and I'm pretty sure I've only ever seen it as bare concrete. So like... did they add Ivy to it just for that movie? 🤔
The only pictures I can find of it with ivy since it's construction were in screenshots of that movie. Anyone know anything about this?
