Being stuck in a submersible at the bottom of the ocean slowly running out of oxygen. Seriously, that seems awful.

Lethal radiation poisoning. It’s a long, agonizing death as your body dies out from under you.

Full body burns with complication of infection would be another awful way to go.

rabies takes the cake

Merlu,

When the symptoms appear, this is already too late and you know you'll suffer until you die.

Tedesche, in What's the worst way to die ?

I raise you all one human centipede.

Cancer, taking months to get weaker every day until you cant even get out of bed. Knowing that any day youre going to die. Maybe its the waiting thats scarier.

SpaceNoodle,

The only thing worse than waiting is not knowing.

But you’re right, that’s why we need legalized death with dignity.

randomuser38529,

Fuck Cancer

Slow drowning takes the cake for me

paddirn, in What is the most unexplainable thing you’ve ever experienced?

It’s probably been over 20 years ago, I was working at a BW-3s, central OH. We went out back middle of the day and the sky had turned straight bright purple. I was not on drugs and there were multiple other people there that saw it too, somebody else even called it to our attention. And it wasn’t close to sunset, it was the middle of the day. It only ever happened that one day and I don’t know that I’ve talked to anybody else that remembers it either.

This is gonna sound weird, I don't even know if its gonna match the intent behind the question, but anyway: right before one of my great-grandmas died there was this tiny European Robin bird that kept chirping outside on the windowsill for what it seemed like 15-20 minutes. It kept chirping and making a constant ruckus and then when my great grandma gave her last breath, the bird stopped chirping and dropped dead on the sill - like literally. I took the bird and buried it in the garden.

I wouldn't have believe this story if anyone else had told me before. I'm not even religious. I have no idea why it happened.
