Drag Race Italia [S03E12 - Grand Finale] Post-episode discussion thread
We're at the end of the third season, and we get to enjoy an epic lip sync for the crown between the two finalists. We also get a crowned miss congeniality and a new Italy's drag superstar!
Seeing this finale I think I finally understood why I could never engage with this season as much as I did not only with other franchises, but even with other seasons of Drag Race Italia. The reason is: Melissa and Linna were the only true contestants. They were way above the level of all of the rest (despite what Sypario thinks) and so the whole season didn't have that element of wonder and surprise for me until these two amazing queens did their lip sync for the crown.
I do think Priscilla has consolidated herself as a good judge and host, and Chiara Francini is now officially the best judge of all the seasons ever... Michelle could never! She is really the best of Drag Race Italia.
Overall, not a memorable season, but I am happy we got to see Melissa and Linna. I look forward to seeing Melissa as a guest judge in the next season of Brazil, or even as a contestant on another international franchise. Linna will be a great reigning queen. I also look forward to La Prada silencing La Sheeva's shit and becoming a successful queen, and I can't wait to see Vezirja on my screen again in whatever format.
