What's interesting about Florida is that they are generally suspicious of electric cars, and yet they've got electric micromobility TOTALLY sorted. There are golf carts everywhere. There are apparently even new developments where they have double-width sidewalks with a separate track for golf carts.

@helenczerski Tom Scott made a video a few years ago about an American city who built bicycle paths across the entire city... and then used them for golf carts instead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcVGqtmd2wM ... imagine if all these school kids were just cycling to school instead.

@helenczerski If I remember correctly, Florida gamed the tax system with a gerrymandered handout to push federal ev subsidies to pensioner republicans.
