The #GameCube has been such a fun console to explore. I didn't have it when it was current, but now it has pride of place in the #RetroGaming nook... Also, let's face it, it's the ultimate system for classic #ResidentEvil.

@dinosaurgerms there is 100% no evidence at all for this... But... My theory is that Nintendo were sore after backing out of the Sony PlayStation deal given that it turned out to be such a hit and targeted that demographic with their new console. At their release, the RE master, Re4 and zero were all exclusive.
... Or maybe they just had good friends at Capcom? 😶
@Hundstrasse sweet collection! I'd throw in Mario Kart Double Dash and (yes I'm going to die on this hill) DDR Mario Mix with a dance mat! Some cheering up after all that RE
@foxysen yeah, the RE2 port is pretty cool as it's on a single disc whereas most (I think all) of the other versions are 2 discs (except N64). It's basically a port of the dual shock version with the battle mode. Personally I think it also looks petty good with a good balance between the 3D model resolution and pre rendered backgrounds.
All the mainline games from zero to 4 is pretty cool
@foxysen Zero... Is flawed...but it does play waaay better on the GameCube than the switch version which is best unplayable because of the load times when switching characters.
@Hundstrasse Train is good idea. I think that's the only area that was in Nintendo 64 development version and the only thing writer remembered when he had to write story for GameCube version again (as in, he forgot what they wanted in N64 era Zero?).
Based on my memory of research, may misremember.
All this gave me a headcanon that they had inspired N64 spinoff ideas and then GameCube was just whatever and... I need to reread development story
