Game Center CX and its sequel set to resurface on the Switch

Gematsu reports that the Nintendo DS game Game Center CX (known in America as "Retro Game Challenge") and its sequel (known in America as "unreleased") will come to the Nintendo Switch at some yet undetermined point in the future.

This series of games, based on the Game Center CX television show and featuring ersatz versions of popular 1980s video games, attracted attention with its first two installments. However, the third game for the 3DS was handled by another development team, and not very well if this old review by Chris Kohler is any indication.

Publisher Bandai Namco has elected to publish the first two games while leaving the third one in the past... a wise move, considering its reputation. There are currently no plans to bring this collection to the United States, although it's worth pointing out that the second game for the DS was eventually translated to English by hobbyist Aaron Tokunaga-Chmielowiec and his team.
