I found a game in Mame that I've never heard of, but it's brilliant! 1998's Techno Drive, by Namco!
It's a driving game that probably works best with a steering wheel or at least motion controls because it's a precision driving test game. It's got a late '90s techno aesthetic that works, despite being in Japanese.
If there hasn't been a remake, then someone needs to do it!

Baraduke is a Namco run-and-gun arcade game where you descend through floor after floor of maze-like levels, fighting single-eyed blue aliens called "Octy". Your character, "Kissy", navigates by way of a jetpack and uses a gun to dispatch enemies. On first glance, the game bears more than a passing resemblance to Metroid (more on that in a bit...).
They don't act as #reward for #innovation to offset the #risk of #inventing stuff that can bankrupt individiduals easy on their way to a #prototype, but usually they're just used as a means to exclude #competition and prevent someone from making a better copy if not deny everyone to use the tech at all...
