@tomgatzgates@grivettcarnac Wellington was closed for a year. The biggest complaint seemed to be from councillors who complained that people driving across Ottawa drove through Gatineau instead.
I fail to see how this was bad for Ottawa. Those drivers didn't stop and shop in Gatineau (they never do) and all the wear and tear on roads was out of province. The city of Gatineau didn't complain.
These morons wanted a traffic jam in front of parliament Hill so they opened the road back up to create it.
