AshleyMarineP,

My kid thinks I'm the world's greatest storyteller, but I have a secret. Recent (often heavily adapted) bedtime stories, in order of how much the 6yo liked them:

  1. Arthur
  2. The Loneliest Planet
  3. 28 Days Later
  4. The Matrix
  5. Banshees of Inisherin
  6. Misery
  7. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

@AshleyMarineP bedtime story tip: manchester by the sea

AshleyMarineP,

@kierkegaank I've not seen the film, adding it to my list to watch!

I wrote two children's stories, and curious if your 6yo would like them. Not quite Matrix or Misery, but real children were cameos in these stories.
They are free to read, but you need an Amazon account

AshleyMarineP,

@mloxton These look lovely! We will definitely give them a read 😃

There are adult stories that you can try (since your 6yo apparently liked a King book), but you would need to be selective. Some had rather grim endings, but many might be suitable

Most are free to read and without registration at Physician's Weekly

AshleyMarineP,

@mloxton Medical Fiction, what a cool genre. Thanks for the link!
