My friend Iris showed us a photo of a strange kind of chicharon (crackling) that wasn't made of pork skins. It's called kibet chicharon, made from chitons, a kind of mollusk. More about it here: #Philippines#Food
@pixiecata if you try it let me know! I’m intrigued now, pork chicharrón is a very important part of Honduran cuisine so it would be interesting to try other kinds 😄
@pixiecata@sararicog we eat it with Salsa Valentina who h is a spicy red one or in tacos. I known puerto ricans make chicken skin chicharrón for snacks 😋
