    @NatureMC Big no for background music. Sure, intro, outro and in-between for segments is fine, but while someone is talking.. nope!

    @NatureMC Adding music to a podcast makes it difficult to understand speech when you have hearing issues.

    @NatureMC I saw a comment on an art video from someone with hearing aids who said voice+music made the audio unusable/unpleasant for them.

    As I grow older I have to realize that my hearing isn't what it used to be. It's getting harder to distinguish between foreground and background sounds in recordings, especially if I listen to something in a language that is not my native language.

    When I watch movies or TV series I have to switch to the dubbed version more and more. But I have no problem following podcasts without background sounds or news broadcasts etc. So it most likely is not a problem with the language itself.
