@BaldProphet In August ii would have been 11 years for me. I'm not going to lie and say I don't feel sad, but I'm not going back. I've always used a 3rd party app to use the site and I hate how they've continued to allow hate to fester in the dark corners in the name of profit. Hopefully this new path will be a better one.
@BaldProphet, 8 years is a lot of time invested in a platform. My own account will be 10 years old in September. I think it's important to recognize what we have lost through this. For me, Reddit turned into something I couldn't tolerate (profit-hungry, anti-user, etc)... I feel kind of betrayed.
Edit: Added user mention since other types of notifications seem to be down at the moment.
I'm going to hold off on deleting my Reddit account for a bit longer as well, but I'm ready to nuke it if things don't turn around there. Just don't wait until after the end of June, because most tools that help with downloading your data and nuking your posts (to prevent Reddit from continuing to profit from them) won't work then.
