This week we chat about our late, late win against Sheffield United and send lots of love in the direction of Richarlison, Ange and the playing side of #Spurs.
Another excellent episode fellas. Captured the mood nicely.
I think Sheffield's gameplan was to stop the "we don't stop" aspect of our game; disrupt the flow. Ange seemed more annoyed by our players falling for it and wittering at the ref rather than getting on with it.
Glad someone else noticed the Deki as 8 change. Loved that; it worked!
Do you think Ange will be more inclined to start Richy/Ivan in games like this? I was surprised at our starting XI
@hallenbeck@spurs I think that some of the thinking on selection last weekend may be down to the internationals and how much travelling players had done. I think that Perisic and Richy may be good options against teams that sit back
Will be interesting to see how much of a horses-for-courses approach Ange takes in future. I see a lot of flexibility for solving problems up front.
I was 50/50 on the selection. Ange is unafraid to make bold, surprising selections, but what with the noise around Richy, it seemed like a gamble with a lot of downside if he'd started him and it backfired.
The story played out perfectly in the end, so all good.
