So, ultimately, who should take the belt off of Roman?

in his reign so far he's beat
Cody
Sami
Aj Styles
Logan Paul
Drew Mcintyre
Brock
Riddle
Goldberg
Big E
Finn Balor
Bobby Lashley
Cena
Edge
Cesaro
Rey Mysterio
Daniel Bryan
Kevin Owens
Braun Strowman

and most importantly, Jey Uso.

I don't see anyone who's been built up to beat him credibly. Cody winning at WM was the right direction to go. Even if he has this weird year of adversity and shit, i don't think it's gonna match the potential hype of him winning it this year.

sortofblue,

Damien Priest. He has the briefcase, he could just swoop in after a match - if Roman would actually bother to have a match more than once in a blue moon. It’d be the final step in Reigns’ downfall.

Bimfred,

I'm of the opinion that Roman retaining at WM39 was the right call for the Bloodline story. From a storyline perspective, his title run has gone on this long entirely thanks to the Usos and Solo interfering. It's only poetic that it should end when they're no longer around, when Roman no longer has anyone to bail his ass out of the fire. He'll be hanging off the ropes, watching Heyman slither away up the ramp, off to look for the next client. And then Rhea slaps him across the chops, Dominik hits a DDT, one-two-three, we have a new champ!

Jey would be my second pick. Again, poetic.

arrogantdesperado,

I'll die on the hill that it should be Jey Uso. I simply do not care about who it "should" be from a marketing/branding perspective. I want the right finish to the story, and for me, it's Jey. It started with Jey. It should end with Jey. And I think Jey winning in the main event of Mania 40 could be right up there with Bryan and Kofi.

They should have pulled the trigger either on Sami in Montreal or on Cody at WrestleMania. I don't see how they can get Cody that red hot again, the adversity thing just isn't doing it for me. But, it might be working for others.

In an ideal world, I would like to see Jey Uso get it. He's been gaslit, protected his brother, and loves his family and none of it matters to Roman. The only way forward for him is to wake up and take everything that Roman holds dear.

phill,

Cody winning this past WM is not the right way to go. The Tribal Chief said it himself. This ain’t McDonalds. This is steak.

The reign has to end with Jey Uso.

Martymoo,

Although Cody didn't win at Mania, I still think he's the guy. They likely avoided giving him the belt at mania to delay the inevitable crowd turning on him.

The money is in the chase as they say.

I agree. I was legit shocked they didn't have Cody win at WM. Right now I'd guess one of the Usos or who knows, perhaps after the rest of the Bloodline abandon him they'll join up with Sami and he'll be the one? Maybe Solo since he seems to be the most loyal?
