Hillary Clinton attacked young people not once but twice last week— and #Tiktok is now making it their mission to go through her entire history which is “checkered” to say the least. Earth to #Democrats, she is hurting your cause.
The party doesn’t understand that 40% of its voters are Gen Z and Millennials who don’t like her. Some millennials may have voted for her in 2016 but she in no way is a motivating force.
Remember what happened when Trump got elected last time. Democrats just spent 4 years creating an industry talking about how terrible Trump is, but didn't actually change any of their policies.
What Sanders was proposing was the bare minimum, and they just shuffled him off because even that was a bridge too far.

So 2024 is not Same vs Worse the way it usually is, it's Same vs Catastrophically Worse.
Why the Dems keep feeding the energy creature I don't know; the best thing they could do is turn the focus from him to his allies.

@forrestguid@LALegault@EdCates@clawfulneutral focusing on Trump is completely misguided in my opinion. He didn't just appear out of nowhere, and people like Trump have always been around.
The reason that he's getting popular now is because the system is unravelling, and this makes it easy for opportunists and snake oil salesmen to get in power.
It's also worth noting that situation only got worse over the past three and a half years under Biden. The direction of travel is still the same.
