Hillary Clinton attacked young people not once but twice last week— and is now making it their mission to go through her entire history which is “checkered” to say the least. Earth to , she is hurting your cause.

@yogthos @LALegault @EdCates @clawfulneutral The problem now is that T is a politically apathetic sociopath circumstantially provided with narcissistic supply by not mere Republicans¹ but the very worst of them, the kind who don't normally get much power. So 2024 is not Same vs Worse the way it usually is, it's Same vs Catastrophically Worse.
Why the Dems keep feeding the energy creature I don't know; the best thing they could do is turn the focus from him to his allies.

Prisoners Sue Alabama, Calling Prison Labor System a ‘Form of Slavery’

The plaintiffs, who are all Black, contend that the state regularly denies incarcerated people parole so that they can be “leased” out to make money for government agencies and businesses.

"...some of the same people who profit from their coerced labor have systematically shut down grants of parole....Defendants include McDonald’s, KFC, Wendy’s and Burger King.”

Falkon Browser Privacy Hardening

I’ve been wanting to use the Falkon browser as my daily driver because I like the integration with the Plasma desktop and it works quite well for most things, but I’ve been hesitant to do so because there are so few extensions and the only privacy-focused one is the AdBlock. I’ve tried using GreaseMonkey scripts, but half...

@Bro666 there was a 1980s software millionaire whose web site's links wouldn't work right with Konqueror because his link-decoration code violated the DTD spec, relying on Firefox's quirks mode. I pointed this out via email and his response was "My code is correct and no one uses Konqueror any more and it's garbage anyway!" — at roughly the very moment Apple swallowed KHTML.

Why wait for Microsoft to catch up with what we've been doing for decades?

Get Plasma, a modern, fully functional, clean, privacy-respecting, non-intrusive operating system now, regardless from where you live and ditch Windows for good.

@Bro666 I wish Plasma had a panel that could fit this much utility into this little space. (Note also the stacked panel that Plasma does not support.) I also wish I didn't have to keep deleting org.kde.dolphin.FileManager1.service so KFind will stop opening things in Dolphin.

Eggs are laid in early fall and hatch mid-winter. The pucklings then make their way into the forest to forage for syrup amongst the moose.

Kevin McCarthy giving the nominating speech for Jim Jordan is like making the ex-boyfriend give the wedding toast. And to top it all off, McCarthy comes out and says that Jordan has been an effective legislator—even though he hasn’t passed a single bill into law in his 16 years in Congress. The response? Uproarious laughter from the Democrats. And well-deserved scorn.
