Adonnus,

I get definitions of words wrong all the time. I'm curious how many of the words were wrongly defined by him during his time.

Pons_Aelius,

It is not so much that his definitions were wrong, but many were quite...eccentric.

EG: “Oats. A grain, which in England is generally given to horses, but in Scotland supports the people.”

WhiskyTangoFoxtrot,

Sausage? Sausage! Why blast your eyes!

CaptFrey,
Alaharon123,

Based on the imdb page, that’s about the Oxford English Dictionary, which came out 173 years later and was the next standard dictionary in England

CaptFrey,

Ah yes. Still a great movie about same subject

oo1,

I'd like to offer you my most sincere contrafibularities

Pons_Aelius,
