maybe that's what the US intelligence told #mikejohnson .
that if there were no military aid for ukraine against russia, ukraine would have gone for putin's life.
in my opinion mike johonson's decision made putin's life at least 6 months longer (unless someone in russia manages to overthrow him before).

It wasn't the intelligence reports that forced the GOP Speaker to put #Ukraine aid to a vote though. It was the fact that enough Democrats signed the discharge petition that since there are still a handful of patriotic Republicans that were ready to sign it too that made him put a bill forward.

@falcennial imo one of the restrictions that the US (and others) put on #Ukraine is that they can't kill #putin .
this is mainly because they fear the reaction of #Xi after watching a sitting head of state killed by a US-assisted country.
on the other hand, no US aid means that russia may win or freeze the conflict in Ukraine.
then putin would immediately try to kill the Ukrainian political and military leadership: which means that they would have all the incentives to kill putin first.
