Losses caused by the Polish blockade of the Ukrainian border amounted to $500 million in lost imports and $160 million in exports in its first month, the National Bank of Ukraine said on May 14.
I still don’t understand why Polish police didn’t fine and tow the blockers. It’s illegal in Poland to park on or block roads with vehicles. It’s not a serious crime in Polish law, but still police should fine for example for failure to let another vehicle or road user enter the traffic (PLN 300) or stopping or parking on a motorway or expressway in a place other than a designated place (also PLN 300)
