Tinotin,

I have a mystery when it comes to synchronizing with my user. For some reason the backup creation password has not worked for me, whereby the data is encrypted.
But I had backed up the key in a text file. And as a security measure copy that content into notes....

Tinotin,

When I have installed Vivaldi on another computer, if I could access my user. but when it came to copying and pasting a file, I did not accept it.
Going round and round. I was able to recover the original file and if my encrypted data could be restored.
Compare both files and one has 72bytes and the other 73.... curious but no content difference is seen.

Vivaldi,

@Tinotin Maybe there's an extra space somewhere? In any case, if you don't remember your encryption password/key but have the data stored locally on at least one Vivaldi instance, you can reset the password by clearing the data from servers: https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tools/sync/#Delete_synced_data.

After setting a new encryption password for your data, you'll have to upload everything again from the device that has the data.

Tinotin,

@Vivaldi Thank you very much !!.
At this moment i am in production, an when have time, backup completly configuration in Linux and continue with you recomendation.
