A little off topic, but the markup does great research on privacy and security; if you have or use an RSS reader, I highly recommend subscribing to it.
If i recall correctly, with Mozilla, they showed how many hospital and hospital records websites connected to big tech.
Hey everyone, super excited to be exploring the fediverse both here on kbin and elsewhere. Looking for a Mastodon client primarily for iOS, great to see the main app is open-source, but there seems to be quite a few options out there. Feel free to share non-iOS clients for others' benefit as well....
Considering, no one cared about gay men or women in history until Christian based religion dominated (see Greece, Rome, etc.) I blame religion. A lot of people aren't going to read the bible, but cherry-pick it to suit their needs. Removing pedos (the cherry-picked same sex attracted ones) from the equation (as there were a lot, especially with Spartans and Romans), and there are still LGBT people, of age.
The same bible that says gay people should be killed also says to love thy neighbor (ironic, as I am cherry-picking right now). I feel as if the only reason LGBT people are in the bible is someone had an agenda against someone they opposed, and decided to slander based on something like who they chose to slept with.
Already left Twitter for Mastodon when Elon Musk purchased it. I don't feel bad for leaving Reddit behind, nor do I feel sad. Spez has shown how incompetent he is both as a CEO and a person. I feel bad for the app devs, though.
In 2021/22, besides Ted Lasso and Severance, there wasn’t really any really good TV shows that got me hooked, this has massively changed in 2023 and I’m almost exclusively watching it at the moment....

Welcome - any new folks who have made your way across.
What's the best alternative to Ookla Speedtest?
I'd like a service that allows me to see a history of my speed tests, without selling that data. I use Fast.com right now, but it lacks history....
why are we so hated outside the community?
Why do people hate us for who we are? I don't get it
OC What are some of your most frequently visited websites?
Aside from (formerly) Reddit and (now) kbin, what are some of your favorite go-to websites, whether for information, wasting time, etc?
Sad to see Reddit go
I wish there was an alternative to leaving Reddit
