OC Hi /m/atheism. Let's get to know each other.

I guess I'll start. I've identified as an atheist since 2015, having come from a deeply religious family (evangelical) from the Philippines. One of the main contributors to my switch was doctrines and their inconsistencies and incompatibilities (Arminianism vs Calvinism for example).

When I first became an atheist, I was angry about stuff like wasted time. These days I'm much more chill about anything and I try to be in general, for my own sake and mental health. I also sometimes explore other spiritual practices and beliefs like Taoism (partly because I'm a Star Wars fan), but most "spiritual" feelings seem to come from listening to my favorite music.

I'm a Hungarian atheist. I never really was forced to be religious by my parents, however it was frowned upon in society to at least not pretend to be religious, so I tried to experiment with it from time to time. By 2009, I started to get into skepticism and a stronger form of atheism.

By 2010, my utter disappointment in Fidesz made me embrace political atheism. While the culture wars made me to backpedal on some of my strongly hold beliefs on what I call "strong secularism", later I went back to embrace them even more. Any society that wants to protect itself from religious fundamentalism should actively crack down on it, not just when those religious fundamentalists pick up guns and bombs. If they're clever enough, they only need to pick up the pens that sign laws.
