In the long term, #atprotocol seems to me to be the better concept, even if #Bluesky's business model is not yet clear (so we'll talk about it again in a year's time). #Activitypub needs to follow suit and separate data pods from the #Mastodon servers to make moving to another instance easier than it is now (maybe like this https://activitypods.org).
