I adore writing by hand. The numerous notebooks, pens, and ink will back me up. I even have old school dip pens. I even draw with pen and ink. I am writing anything down, possibly to combat my possible ADHD. If I'm out, then notes are taken on my phone. At home, it's old-fashioned pen and paper. It could be just a word or two, maybe a plan on what to do tomorrow, or some four-page rant.

I think part of my enjoyment for writing was calligraphy classes at school. This may well sound strange to many. But school band all types of pen, apart from calligraphy fountain pens, in either blue or black ink. We would have short classes on correct usage. I even won national competitions. This is something that stuck with me.

When I started job hunting (This will give an indication to my age), my first CVs were written in calligraphy. It was slow, painful, but my success rate was amazing. Maybe because these stood out against a type written CV?

Also, when dating. Many of my girlfriends spent time overseas in their home countries. For many reasons, but this allowed time to write letters. Email was in its infancy. The amount of time my girlfriends friends were envious of these intricate handwritten letters were many.

Writing, by hand, triggers parts of my head that typing simply doesn't. It's hard to explain.
