OMG. Amazon reviews are less than useless, 90% of the time.

Every 9 out of 10 reviews is someone posting about a product five minutes after they got it. This is across all of consumerism products, not just coffee and espresso.

But it's bad in coffee and espresso too. I'm researching a specific machine, and one of the things I do is scour consumer-feedback on machines where I can. That means Amazon and Google reviews.

Which just makes my brain hurt.

@coffeegeek @timrichards

This applies to all online commerce;

“Why haven’t you reviewed our product t that you haven’t even received yet!?”

“Please review this product that you only received the other day, and haven’t had a chance to use yet!?”

“Please review this boring, utilitarian item you received but is so boring and utilitarian that it does not deserve a review!?”

@Salvo @coffeegeek they can all go to hell. If they want me to spend my time reviewing them, they can pay me.

@timrichards @coffeegeek
If I find that they nag me too much, I will give an honest review of the product and give a 1-star review of the sales experience.

That said, I am not a writer by trade, so my words don’t have that much value…

@Salvo @coffeegeek Ha yeah I do tend to take a professional view of people wanting me to write anything, even a one-sentence review
