At a comics and disability workshop yesterday, Charles Hatfield introduced us to ‘shapereaders’ when I asked him about how we might possibly imagine comics for the blind. Shapereaders are a new type of haptic language that are highly suggestive of comics and I’m fascinated by how they might be used.
