First of all, Washington Times is a known radical right propaganda outlet, and openly presents itself as such. Second, it is not claiming that liberalism is a mental illness; it is highlighting that liberals are more likely to trust science and seek therapy than radicalized superstitious religiotarded nitwits. Third, the “conditions” it presents are themselves radical right wing propaganda (such as the police violence statements).
No as the study shows they are more likely to be mentally ill. They are no more likely to believe facts. Also they don’t get cause and effect. It’s something they can’t grasp.

If you’re going to grammar nazi, get it right. www.dictionary.com/browse/cite Scroll down to other definitions, it can be used as a noun. And tbh, English is a bastard of a language, look at gerunds and the term ain’t.
