Server sneeds at not receiving a tip for pouring 8 shots of mezcal to a group who stayed 10 mins. Half the comments say 'frick tipping', while one manager tells us a story that totally happened

Manager here… Had a server baseball pitch his .25 cent tip and hit his guest square in the back as he was leaving right in front of me. I fired him in front of the guest.

As soon as the guest left I called the server and said "You know you still have a job here. I expect you tomorrow. "And then everyone clapped :marseyclapping:

You Sir, are a Manager!! 🔥🔥

What is wrong with you people60 comments under this for asking a reasonable question.

Ah so you’re ok with servers assaulting guests just because they didn’t tip. Maybe the fact that he’s the kind of person that would do that to a guest shows exactly why they didn’t tip.30 comments under this for calling out the dumbass.

What’s the context? bad service? Bad atmosphere? Etc

8 shots of casamigos mezcal. Brought it to their group. Asked if they needed anything else. They said no, they stayed for about 10 more minutes then left without saying anything.

How much free money do you really want for 5 minutes of work?

How much would you like to drink at home you self entitled asshole? This isn’t your local Chipotle.

So you expected to be given what, 20-30 bucks for bringing 8 shots to a table?

Nah I would have been chill with like $5 or sum. Just a bit weird to see 0 next to a big number ya know?

No offense, but I wouldn’t have tipped either. You just did your job and brought shots. It required almost no effort or time on your part. This isn’t a full course meal with wine and full service. This was we want one round of (overpriced) shots, thanks, ok bye. Just because the bill is a big number doesn’t mean a tip is warranted.

Drink at home then you selfish dickhead.

Some off-tangent is England in Europe slapfight

In England we just pay the staff a living wage instead of expecting everyone else to pay the waiters wage, blame your company not the customer, a tip shouldn’t be mandatory you already pay enough for the food

In Europe*

England is in Europe.

"used to be

Oof, maybe hit the books bud. Also Google isn’t hard to navigate if your ever unsure
