I’ve been putting off proper inventory management for weeks now, I need to go through all my retainers and make room on them ahead of DT launch. I did start on it, I’ve got one that collects tokens and raid drops, ended up dumping all my Alexander tokens (cause I can easily replace them) and traded in any that I could get stuff with. Freed up about 30 spots. But I have so much random stuff just stored up that I can probably clear out.
I am in the same boat. One of my retainers is over 50% full of tokens and in-progress relics. I think I’m going to have to just decide what I am still pursuing and what I am giving up on and clean house accordingly.
The vast majority of mine are 150+ (I have 9 of them - yeah, I have a problem 😂).
If we look at what they store:
Housing stuff x 1
Tokens & Exchange items x 1
Crafting materials x 2
Currently not in use gear x 1 - this is things like I’ve pre bought poetic gear for Picto and Viper for example
Miscellaneous storage x 1 - this is for stuff like excess FC sub materials, fireworks, and other stuff that I can probably clean out easily enough if I try
Materia x 1 - this one is only at about 120ish of 175, but I figure we’ll be getting XI and XII in DT so this will get more stuff
Dyes / Orchestrion Rolls x 1 - probably a 50/50 split, I’ve got a ton of the damaged rolls (I forget what they’re actually called) I need to get around to crafting taking up space
Minions & Mounts x 1 - This one I can definitely clear out, I’m just holding all the duplicate minions I had from retainer ventures, GC loot boxes and FC subs, but it seems a waste to just vendor them, so I haven’t done it yet
There’s a ton of opportunity there to make plenty of space for DT, I just need to spend a day going through it all, working out what I need to keep and what I can easily replace and actually do the cleanup. And then repeat the process on some of my alts.
I just missed this event when I first started playing (like, I unlocked the quest and then it ended before I completed it), so was good to finally get it done today. Surprised some of the emotes that get used during this quest haven’t made it to players yet, although on the other hand, I’m not really 😂
The job change magnets are a fun gimmick that will likely be forgotten within a week or so of getting the chair, but I do have a Titan Evo XL as my main home office chair and they really are good chairs. They’re not cheap, but they’re really comfy and very adjustable.
My son also has one, and his had a creak in the base mechanism - did some troubleshooting with the SecretLabs team, and they ended up shipping out a replacement gas lift base at no charge.
The lumbar cushions are cute too. Something about using a Fat Cat themed cushion just feels right.
I bought the story skip only on a new character and bloody hell is the levelling without new adventurer bonus or preferred world painful. But I will fight through it!
Showed this to a knowledgable friend and he said that the additional depth visible in the benchmark trailer comparison screenshot must have been achieved with more use of ambient occlusion and sub-surface scattering shaders. This could mean that the hardware requirements could increase🤔
Mmhmm. My catgirl came out looking great, but my Au Ra needed a bit of tweaking, where I had to set the limbal ring one colour brightness higher, and the eye one colour brightness lower to get them to pop like they did, and that’s where the Fantasia comes in.
