Fair point, but if you’re willing to jump through a couple of hoops you can get it for free. They claim that even if you cancel your subscription you’ll still have the game, so you can get a free trial or join on a friend’s family-sharing to get the game without paying anything.
That’s very true. Plus, in my mind, it’s one thing to give some rando website an email or whatever, but it’s much dicier to actually install software from them.

Good point, I play most things on the Steam Deck now, and while Heroic, Lutris and the like can handle the more well-known launchers I’m not sure this new boy will be supported yet!
Cracking, I’m always sceptical when I read the phrase “free to play” as half the time it just means “you’re allowed to play it for free but we’ll try and get some money out of your anyway” so very happy when it turns out to mean “this full game is now free to keep, no strings attached”!
FYI this is not really what this community is for (somewhere like !freegames or !gamedeals might be more appropriate) but oh well, not exactly causing a problem!
