Hayao Miyazaki's The Boy and the Heron Wins Golden Globe for Best Animated Movie

I liked it better than his last film "The Wind Rises." I felt like there was a lot going on under the surface. I would need to watch it again but I think it ranks as one of middle-to-high ones.

I’ve not watched it yet, but to beat the money juggernaut that was the Mario movie, alongside some of the Spiderman output is no mean feat!

I saw it at the weekend. I dunno, it wasn’t for me, it wasn’t bad or anything, it had all the usual beats but I came away from it thinking “that was okay, I’m glad I watched it, but it didn’t feel like a classic to me”. It also felt a bit long.
