I love that many of the writers and illustrators of Harley Quinn comics really get the character and lean hard into the ADHD chaos and "mentally ill but working on her shit and caring about people" ethos of the character
Like, in this run, Stephanie Phillips, Riley Rossmo, and Laura Braga do things like allow the panels of a scene to be played out chaotically and then arrows to try to clarify...like, this is literally something is used to do in my completely disorganized notes from classes back in the day and just is absolutely delightful to my ADHD brain.
@JoscelynTransient I feel that the only origin story that does her justice without infantilizing her, OR over romanticising the Joker, was done by Stjepan Sejic. Overly much empathy in the hands of an absolutely uncaring manipulator. And, yes, some absolutely chaotic, raging panel composition that speaks to the ND brain.
@thatfrisiangirlish I mean, being an empathetic person living with trauma that makes one vulnerable to a relationship of codependency with a toxic manipulator...I mean, whomst amongst us hasn't? Whomst amongst us? 😅
