The city of Pekanbaru in Riau has been blanketed by thick smog for the last couple of days following forest fires nearby and residents are told by the authorities to mask up.
This past week the Indonesian Environment Ministry was doing their best impression of the 2003 Iraqi Information Minister denying that the fires in Sumatra were the cause of smog across the ditch in Malaysia.
