Number of users in a kbin instance... what is the correct?

I was curious to know how the number of users of the instance, and I have tried two different ways, but the numbers I get are quite different.

  Here there are 26556 users

• https://kbin.social/stats
  Here there are 134749 users

I think that the number of the nodeinfo is the correct, but I saw in Mastodon that people shared the number of /stats.
