@WTL thanks a lot! I'm still new to k-pop but it's a thriving and exciting musical scene. And many songs are perfect for motivation during sport sessions.
@s1m0n4 I discovered kpop (jpop, and many others) decades ago when we had an eMusic account and I was flailing around listening to all kids of stuff to use up our credits. Some of it is simply unabashedly fun to listen to, even if I don't speak either of the languages any more (I learned Korean in high school, and Japanese when I got into anime in the 90s).
@WTL wow learning Korean in high school is quite extraordinary! My only options in high school were English (mandatory), French and German and I took all 3 of them 😁
I'm learning Korean right now. And Japanese is on my bucket list, even if I find kanjis quite scary. I have a crappy visual memory, my brain doesn't rely on visual inputs to memorize.
@s1m0n4 It was a special circumstance; at the time, we had a bunch of students who came over for specialized surgery, and they came to our school. For whatever reason, I was handed a Korean-English dictionary and then learned the language.
