I’m the original mod and creator of this ‘sub lemmy’ lemmy.ca/c/leaf_nation. The other mod requested approval from Lemmy.ca admins to take over the account in the past. However, he hasn’t been active for at least 3 months in this instance, and he/she even added a bot to the account. I’m applying to have him removed as...
As the lemmy.ca community has been growing, I’ve begun to look at some of your /c/communities and … things are bugged. I can’t really post or comment very well on my lemmy.world account....
Got ‘invalid login’ when viewing my profile after the lemmy update, logged out, re-setup 2fa using a browser and now Jerboa crashes when pressing the ‘login’ button after entering my details....
It started yesterday. Immediately after posting, some account started commenting nonsense and the same images repeatedly, so I banned it. Today the same thing is happening, but it’s a different account. Anyone else have this happen?...
If you look at the communities tab and sort by new, more communities there have 0 posts than have more than 10 posts. It seems like people are just making communities for the sake of having something to control, without any interest of actually contributing. Often times the communities are opposing, so it’s not as if the mod...
I wanted to create all the canadian telecom communities but then after I made 3 new ones the website wouldn’t allow me register more. Is there a weekly limit I should account for?...
I do not understand why my posts aren’t showing up. Does ‘admin’ maybe have some idea? Thank-you and have a great weekend, everyone. Looks like rain through to the 1st of next week. (sigh)
Hello lemmy.ca I did register in your instance, but I did type my email wrong. Is there any chance to be fixed? Because I want to have the same username.
Approx 30 mins ago, I suddenly lost access to lemmy.ca due to DNS resolution failures. I’ve managed to restore access by tossing the known good IP into my computers hosts file, in order to make this post....
So here I was checking to see if the Blue Jays Lemmy was being updated, and when I went there it says “No posts”. I checked from Lemmy.world and the posts show up fine (ie lemmy.world/c/torontobluejays@lemmy.ca). I checked my languages (made sure undetermined it selected) so I’m stumped - any ideas?
I’ve been attempting to create a post in !motorcycles that has an uploaded image as the URL. The image uploads fine, and I double checked the URL to ensure it’s valid, then I enter the post info, select a language, and hit create....
I sent a feature request to github.com/rystaf/mlmym and it was added in one of the recent versions. Have been waiting a while to see if it would be updated automatically or by an admin, but it hasn’t happened yet. So here is my request for it to be updated.
There is a federated instance that seems to be doing 1:1 post copies from Reddit. Not only are the questions copied, all the users are bots and entire comment chains are copied. This is not entirely a bad thing in some edge cases....
I am moderating this sub and it shows 4 comments. I only see 3?! lemmy.ca/post/1528939Does anybody else see 4? I am a bit concerned if there are 4 and I can see only 3 (2 are mine). As a moderator that would be no good.
