The release includes various security updates and other bug fixes that affect all Sony adaptations taken from Jolla.
The delay between the last was mostly caused by the development for the update discovery service and
my personal situation in my private live took a turn for the worst last year. The Xperia 1/5 II port also took some time of course.
Does this work on the XPeria 5 III? Its model number isn't listed but you mention the 5 II, which I don't think I see that model number either.
My understanding when I had an XPeria X Compact was that at that time, Sony had some DRM on the camera where rooting the device would clear some encrypted partition and lose some keys the camera needed to run at full quality. Are there any problems like this on the XPeria 5 line?
@mcc Np, just ask. The Xperia 1/5 III is a new model.
I didn't found any problem regarding DRM in the Xperia 1/5.
The Xperia 1/5 no matter which version do share the same base (also called board).
Porting the Xperia 1 or 5 means also porting the other except extra variants of packages.
I don't have hardware to port the Xperia 1/5 III.
But if anyone wants to start porting those I can help and provide the project infrastructure
to do so.
