Have I got something to say to YOU!
First, I'm just disappointed in the past year. 2023 was a mess. I'll just leave it at that.
Second, let's talk about manga cancellations because, I take it personally even though it's not. Sure, I get some of them, but Ginka and Gluna was ramping up to be such an amazing series only to be uncerimoniously cancelled. What a disappointment.
@mdmrn in disappointed in my microwave. I already hate microwaves--they are awkward to fit in any kitchen I've ever had, and they beep about everything. Mine died yesterday, right before a holiday where I expect to have a bunch of leftovers. The part that died was a touch panel, and even if I replace it myself the part was almost the cost of the microwave.
Who designed the Costco parking lot to force a left turn out of the MAIN entrance? And paired that with the gas exit that everyone pulls a u-turn from, effectively blocking the main exit until some brave soul just guns it?
We made our way to the alternate exit so it only took 20 minutes to leave, but I'd guess average time out the main was 35 minutes yesterday.
Corollary: Whose idea was it to go to Costco on 12/23 at 11 am?????
Thirdly, I'm disappointed in @gnitro for still not coming around on Pirate by Everglow. And still mocking me for it. I mean, come on. It's the best.
Fourth, let's talk about KBin. Or not, no one else is really talking about it anymore. What a disappointment. Also, Firefish. Blew up everywhere as the next big thing only to die out faster than me in the speed vehicle level of Battletoads.
@mdmrn@gnitro I will agree with @mdmrn . Pirate is a better song than Slay. Listening to it one more time this morning and I can hear some recycled components in Slay. Pirates is just more fun. #agreetodisagree
@KpopGG4ever@mdmrn I wasn't a huge fan of either. I think Slay was my biggest disappointment that I kept on a monthly playlist. It didn't deserve it lol
With all the time they had for a comeback, their production team felt like they mailed it in.
@gnitro@mdmrn when I first listened to Pirate I told my sister (who is responsible for getting me into kpop gg groups) that I couldn't decide if I like this song or not. It's grown on me and a earned it's spot on my Queens playlist. Slay was placed in my general population kpop songs.
@KpopGG4ever@mdmrn My problem with Pirate was the song sounded like what I would expect another group would put out if they tried to make an EVERGLOW sounding song.
It's not as bad as I like to joke, but that's mostly me just teasing mdmrn
Okay, let's talk about gas prices. They're high. That's called modern capitalism. That's why. Stop blaming the President you doofuses. Next.
I'm disappointed in our media that continues to say "CRIME IS THE WORST" when, in fact, crime has been decreasing across the United States for the past decade. All crime. The FBI told us with statistics. Come on, man.
I'm disappointed in the messy state of my kid's rooms. But they know that already. The Elf on the Shelf warned them to get cleaning.
Also, I'm disappointed that I allowed Elf on the Shelf into my home. I mean, seriously. There's 3 of them here now. Ugh.
I'm also disappointed in myself for forgetting to buy more deoderant when I was at the store the other day. I knew I was about to run out, come on, man. Now I got to run out like...the day before Christmas. To a store. Just to get deoderant.
I'm disappointed in Rand Paul for thinking he can be funny by stealing this schtick. It's not funny. He is just complaining that less people are being helped by the government or that America is not systemically racist enough. Nope.
I'm disappointed that I tried to get less political this year and I still went all in on Rand Paul. Then again, he's one of the worst, so deal with it.
More disappointment? Of coure! I'm disappointed that I didn't get onto the Fediverse sooner. I mean, seriously, I should have left Twitter years ago. It's the worst.
Speaking of - here's a few folks that I'm always disappointed in: Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Rand Paul, Ron Paul, Mitch McConnell, etc.
I'm disappointed that I'm going to have to stay up late Christmas day to watch the Ravens only to get out the door the next day to drive the 350+ miles to my parents house for the Christmas visit. That's going to be rough.
Oh and you know what - I'm disappointed in JYP Entertainment. Yeji and Ryujin's new solo tracks are fantastic and I only got a tease, less than 2 minutes of it? Seriously! Gimme the whole song. I wanna hear them now!!
