Templates can be downloaded as separate packages (usually with more than one template) or created by the user. Text & images can also be placed manually using coordinates.
@scy Welllll... you could also just post those commands as text – for the popular memes people will understand it without seeing the image :-D
(ok, in truth I do like your idea; but I'm also prone to just writing picard-facepalm.gif in a post because I'm sure people will understand what I want to convey)
@histalek Yep, has already been suggested in the thread, and I think it's an awesome idea. If (okay, rather when) I implement this tool, that's definitely gonna be a priority.
Apparently it can only do text tough. But yeah, this is similar to how I would've done it. Have some base images and then JSON (I would've chosen YAML) files to configure where the text can go.
Needs more flexibility though. I want to place images where the heads of people are, not just text. With basic transformations like rotation and scaling, but good defaults. More slots. Named slots. Things like "replace the fourth panel with this image".
@awinkler Well I wouldn't mind if someone wrote it. :P At one point, when I've got way too much spare time, I'll do it myself if necessary. I want this to exist.
