Good day all! I'm pretty busy just at the moment, but I thought audiophiles (as well as regular people) would find this an interesting read or listen. Steven told me about it.
"He spent his life building a $1 million stereo. The real cost was unfathomable.
Ken Fritz turned his home into an audiophile’s dream — the world’s greatest hi-fi. What would it mean in the end?"

@nathanu
I know! Of the cautionary tale kind.

Mulva,

@EllieK really interesting article Ellie, with so many layers. I’ll be thinking about this story all day now. Thanks for sharing!

Wasn't it interesting? The things people do, to themselves and others.

@EllieK That was such a tragic story in so many ways, not the least of which was how the children felt. Probably also an object lesson (literally?) in doing things like that when there’s no expectation of getting anything from it but joy and, of course, if doesn’t fry the bank account or relationships.
My books and music obsession pale in comparison!

I thought perhaps the word 'enjoy' had been the wrong word in my post. Thought of changing it but it slipped my mind.
Our obsessions also pale in comparison. Actually, there is no comparison, of course.
