We argue that other developing world governments shouldn’t hide their activities from their people … yet it’s OK to do the same here?
Democracy is an old Greek word for ‘demos’ for people and ‘kratos’ for rule or power. This isn’t democracy because none of this ever has anything to do with control or ownership by the people … in fact ‘the people’ in demos doesn’t mean anything any more because none of us have any control over anything unless we own billions of dollars. In a system where money is power it’s called a Plutocracy - another old greek word for plutos = wealth and kratos = power
It’s getting laughable these days to say we exist in a democracy because common regular people seldom have any say over anything, especially when it doesn’t do any good to the people and benefits only the very rich.
