@starsandinfinity@pezmico@palestine The only two-state solution Israel will accept is one where the Palestinian state is demilitarized (i.e. can't defend itself and exercise its sovereignty) and where the ruler is their puppet.

@starsandinfinity@pezmico@palestine A secular Palestinian state that is home to Palestinians (Muslims, Christians and other minorities) and Israelis is the only just solution I see. Settlers that refuse to live in a state that isn't an ethnostate can go back where they came from, just like what happened in South Africa.

Jewish populations in Muslim countries have been the victims of violence and persecution time and time again. And hate crimes against Jewish people skyrocketing all over the world make prove once again that, yes, we do need a state that is a safe haven for Jewish people.

Also, when Europeans colonized Muslim countries, part of their divide and conquer strategy was to discriminate between Muslims and Jews by giving Jews more rights than Muslims.

I mean that both ethnic groups have historical claims to and a right to live on this land, so it is crucial to find a way that makes a peaceful coexistence of Israel and a Palestinian state possible.

We can base it on the fact that there has been a Jewish population living in this area since ancient times and that this population has a right to their own state. No we don't have to base land claims on religion but since so many other countries are doing a horrible job of making Jewish people feel safe and welcome I definitely see the necessity that a safe haven for Jewish people exists.

Russia has the right to claim Ukraine given that it was part of the Russian empire? This logic will lead us to endless wars.
Also why a safe haven for Jews does have to be on the ruins of Palestinian villages? How convenient for the Europeans who aren't paying the price for the crimes committed on Jews!

Why do Palestinian muslims have a right to their own state but not Jewish people? Both have been living in this land since ancient times. Why would you give one a state but not the other?

Given the current reality I very much doubt that a secular Palestinian state with a muslim majority, that affords equal rights to all religions as well as queer people (Israel is the only country in the region where you can live openly queer) is a realistic vision.

It's entirely possible to express solidarity with Palestinians without calling for the eradication of Israel and displacement of the Jewish population. In the "river from the sea" scenario, where are Jewish people supposed to go and live? #FreePalestineFromHamas
@pezmico@palestine I did not read your specific proposal, so I don't want to judge quickly, but the phrase "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!" is clearly asking to remove Israel and we just have seen what Hamas is going to do with its population. Please remove at least this antisemitic, nationalistic statement.
