Wildfire smoke still pretty strong here in Vancouver. This is a viewpoint from Burnaby Mountain, looking north towards Deep Cove and Indian Arm.
In the ten years since I took this photo the trail has been abandoned and the tree has rotted away.
Was out walking the dog just before sunrise and noticed some fat dew drops, so I decided to finally set up for this kind of shot. Macro can be a pain, even with still subjects, but quite rewarding!
The smell of rain
Not really a beach this time, just volcanic rocks that form natural pools. I tried to work in the feedback I got on the last post and took a lot of time with trying out compositions on this one. Still didn’t figure out the topic of a good subject though
A lovely long-lasting 22° halo around the Sun due to ice in cirrus high in the sky over Wassenaar today, nicely set off by some passing low clouds 🙂👍...

Came across a collection of starfish at Cates Park this morning due to low tide. I’ve never seen them up close like this before, very alien looking.
Personally I dig this weird little fella...
I was walking around close to the mall around here and there are many park attendants who tell you how to park. They all sit in those little containers and watch TVs which seem to be from the 90ies.

Saw a lightning bug crawling on the window and thought of a cool shot! Little guy was happy to fly away after.
Caught some raspberries in the process of ripening this morning on a hike along Admiralty Point Trail in Belcarra.
Nice sunset out by the lake tonight - looked wildly different every few minutes!
